Happy New Year!
If you’re anything like me, the start of a new year brings a mix of hope… and pressure.
New goals. Big resolutions. And that quiet voice asking, “Will this year actually be different?”
Here’s what I want to say clearly: This year doesn’t need a dramatic overhaul to be meaningful. It just needs consistent forward motion.
That’s exactly why I’m launching The Payoff Challenge. My wife, Bailey, and I are attempting something big — paying off our house in 18 months.
I kick it off here in my newest YouTube video:
But the challenge itself is intentionally simple.
Starting Monday, January 5, the Payoff Challenge becomes a weekly rhythm:
A reminder to keep making progress (even if it’s small)
Real stories and strategies from people actually doing this
A way to track progress without shame or comparison
Accountability that doesn’t feel heavy
No resolutions, no perfection, just showing up once a week and moving the needle!
If paying off debt is part of what you want this year to represent — this is a great way to start. And if you join before the challenge begins on January 5, you’ll still be included as part of the Founding Members group.
That means:
Early access to everything I build for this community
Priority for features and shoutouts
Permanent recognition as someone who helped start this
Also, while anyone can read the newsletter, only Payoff Challenge participants can submit weekly numbers, get featured, and contribute to the community progress.
If last year felt scattered or frustrating financially, this is your reset — without pressure.
Whether you join or not, here’s to a steady, intentional start to the year!

P.S. You don’t need a perfect plan before Monday. You just need to decide you’re in!
